We currently have a Toyota Sienna and Ford Transit that is wheelchair and stretcher assessible.
Yes, we have a transport chair with 200lb max weight and a Stryker Pro Max R3 stretcher with a 250lb max weight. You may request this equipment at no additional charge when you book your trip.
Yes, you can bring a support person with you at no extra charge. This person must be 18 years or older.
Partial payment is due upon booking. Accepted types of payment are Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
We can wait if it was pre-arranged. An hourly rate applies and is due at the time of service.
We recommend booking at least 24-48 hours ahead of your appointment time. We will do all we can to accomodate your appointment, but time slots fill quickly, so it is recommended to book early. You can book by phone at 219-303-0314 or through our website at wheelsofhoperelief.org.
Our HeadQuarters is located in Lowell, Indiana. Rates apply from this location. We are registered through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and are able to cross State lines. If you are planning a long distance medical trip, we suggest giving us notice well in
advance.
Anyone can use NEMT services for a ride to a doctor appointment. If a client is a minor, we do require an adult 18 years or older to accompany them at no extra charge.
There is a $15 cancellation fee if you give us a two or more hour notice from your pickup time, the day of your appointment. If you cancel your ride less than two hours away of your pick up time, you will be charged for 20% of your total ride cost.
We provide services to riders with service animals. A service animal is defined as an animal that has been trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The ADA does not require us to allow comfort animals (emotional support animals) to ride along with our clients. However, please give us a call if you have a special request.
We can accomodate rides to and from an airport and special events like weddings. Please give us a call for more details of your needs.
